On Trails is a wandering tale that blends hiking, science, and history

Hiking is one of life's great joys. Turning off the screens and stepping out into nature for an extended period of time, perhaps even several days, is rejuvenating. Unfortunately, as someone with two young kids and a bad back, I'm not really able to go backpacking anymore.

So I often find myself trying to live vicariously through the stories of others who are still able to embark on these adventures. This is where On Trails comes in - a wandering tale that blends hiking, science, and history in a captivating narrative.

A Journey of Discovery

Through the author's journeys on various trails, we are transported to different parts of the world, learning about the unique characteristics of each landscape and the people who have traveled them before us.

From the science behind trail formation to the historical significance of certain pathways, On Trails is a rich tapestry that weaves together diverse threads of knowledge and experience.

As we read about the author's experiences, we are reminded of the importance of preserving our natural environments and the role that trails play in connecting us with the world around us.

Rekindling the Love for Nature

Even if we can't all go backpacking anymore, On Trails inspires us to find ways to appreciate and respect nature, whether through short walks in local parks or simply spending time outdoors with family and friends.

By sharing the author's passion for hiking and the outdoors, On Trails encourages us to rekindle our own love for nature and to seek out new adventures, no matter how big or small they may be.
